In
Rippingale we’re conscious that there are |

many
new residents who know nothing about |
|
the
history of the village – well here’s the |
|
chance
to hear several fascinating stories |
|
about
the village history – the Roman canal, |
|
the
Rippingale Giantess, our forgotten |
|
Antarctic
hero, the lost village of Ringstone |
|
and
much more – as well as a bit of exercise. |
|
John
Smith, landlord of The Bull Inn will |
|
lead
a steady walk round the village and Jim |
|
Latham
will tell the stories, with illustrations |
|
to
hand round – come and join us! The party |
|
will
meet on Tuesday 9th May, 1.30pm at the |
|
pub, set off at 2pm and return to ther pub for |
|
