Rippingale Feast 2017 - Saturday 1st July
Originally, the Feast was an "open house" weekend where every household laid out a grand table of tasty morsels and the entire village met in the streets to dance, drink and visit each other's houses for a bite to eat before going back to the party. There was also a serious side to the Feast weekend when both a church and chapel service of thanksgiving was held.
In 2016 the Feast was a very successful a street party to celebrate the Queen's 90th birthday, and in 2017 it will be a 'village fete' style of celebration held on the playing field.
