The Bunting Babes

The Bunting Babes |
Here is a photo taken at the first meeting of the Rippingale Bunting Babes,
back in November 2011. When we first formed our Rippingale Diamond Jubilee
Committee, we all thought how nice it would be to hang the village with
Bunting. At the start of February, the Babes have now had five meetings.
They started meeting at Eva's in the High Street but have had to transfer
to the Village Hall, due to increasing numbers! Their biscuit intake is
apparently formidable... so is their industry; they estimate that they have
completed close to a mile of Bunting, which is extraordinary enough. However,
the target is for 12 (twelve!) miles. In order for them to achieve this,
they need a constant supply of materials and particularly need bias binding
or any other tape, materials and thread. Even small quantities can be used.
If you would like to join the Bunting Babes in their task, the meetings
are held every second Monday, from 2:00 to 5:00pm at Rippingale Village
Hall. The easiest way to remember which Monday is that it is Black Bin Day!!
